The second research backs up the first one, saying that gaming might be legalized. The head of the special House committee, Deputy Finance Minister Julapun Amornvivat of Thailand, announced that the research was finished and provided detailed details.
Once legalized, do you think the country can attract tourists via casinos?

That's a hard yes. Is this for retail only or both retail and online? Either way I see a lot of tourist destinations investing in this. Can you imagine playing poker for a bit then you walk out and bam- beautiful beach just outside. If they do this right it will shoot tourism even higher than what they normally see and help with local economies too- resorts and such.
I appreciate all of the help I can get as I work my way to run a long-term and successful business. From the day that I learned how to open a sportsbook to now, there is definitely a lot I now know from experience. It does not mean I will stop learning, though.
@andiespeaks and this could actually trigger a competitive gambling and tourism market in the South East Asian region. They have so much potential when it comes to gaming and these countries are effortlessly attractive to travelers given their natural resources. 10 years from now, this region could earn so much from this industry. I just learned that the Thai Cabinet endorsed the report to legalize casinos in the country. This is a major step toward the legalization of integrated resorts with casinos. Now, the Ministry of Finance will have a month to prepare its feasibility report. I'll be keeping a close watch to this development because I want to visit the country in the future.

@jet you could try to visit now and after they build IR's. It would be interesting to see if they will go straight for just building and modernizing or if they will use as much of their natural resources and integrate it to their developments. If other south east asian countries will be doing this, they have to somehow stand out, and Thailand has such beautiful backgrops and all.
I hope they don't destroy their natural beauty when building casino resorts. I agree that their backdrops make them stand out and attract more tourists.

Thailand is one of the most popular tourist destinations in SEA even without casinos. So the idea of having these integrated resorts will be a huge factor in retaining tourism rates. In fact, I think this will pull even more tourism away from neighboring countries and bring it in to wherever they decide to build.
Aside from running my own online sportsbook, I do enjoy traveling since my bookie pay per head solutions is helping me get my work done easily.
There are talks that the casino could be located within the Eastern Economic Corridor, which is rapidly emerging as a vibrant tourism hotspot. Nestled along the Gulf of Thailand, this region is a harmonious blend of pristine beaches, bustling markets, and cultural landmarks. As the EEC continues to develop, it offers an enticing mix of modern amenities and traditional Thai experiences.
