Kentucky's sports betting rules and regulations will be reviewed and approved at a special meeting of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission (KHRC) on Monday. Industry insiders and onlookers believe sports betting will launch this autumn after being approved by the state government earlier this year. The Commission, however, has not yet issued a timetable estimate.
Jonathan Rabinowitz, chairman of the KHRC, mentioned that the organization has communicated with sports betting authorities in Colorado, Indiana, Ohio, New Jersey, and Massachusetts at a meeting on June 20 to discuss how to implement industry standards.
And according to Rabinowitz, the regulator in the Bluegrass State is hiring 14 people to be ready for the start of sports betting.

This is Kentucky. If they do not legalize sports betting.. I mean, its going to be very, very ironic.
Aside from running my own online sportsbook, I do enjoy traveling since my bookie pay per head solutions is helping me get my work done easily.
Aren't they going live just around the time the NFL Season starts this year though? They have a short deadline if they need more legwork done before sportsbooks launch.

The latest update is that they will launch on September 7 with retail sportsbooks. Online sportsbooks will follow after three weeks.

In the latest KHRC news, the commission is getting a new COO. Susan Speckert has extensive experience in both fields, having held the positions of general counsel of the Kentucky Horse Racing Commission and commissioner of law for the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government.
