I am looking at the reports on sports betting for January of this year and it is good so far. Some markets and states register less wagers- but revenue seems to hold. Considering football season has died down already, it would be interesting to see how long these markets can sustain a positive increase in growth.

I think we can still maintain this up until March. But when college ball ends and the NBA slows down, the downward trend will begin all through summer.

I've been meaning to focus on baseball season since its easy to become a baseball bookie, but maybe its best to get some experience prior to the season opening, especially with the numbers so high this quarter.

@samuel This is my concern. I wonder how I can convert new players who bet on basketball switch to baseball and other leagues when the season is over.

This is good to know. Starting a sportsbook seems like a profitable business venture, and I'm happy I started one this year.

I tend to look at the hold and revenue more than the handle. My handle is lower without football. But my hold is holding, pun intended. Crossing my fingers it stays this way in the summer.
