According to a press release issued on October 5 by sports betting software provider Kambi Group, PENN Entertainment has decided to switch Barstool Sportsbook from Kambi's platform to PENN's own proprietary technology. It expects to complete the switch for its online sportsbook by the end of the third quarter of 2023, and for its retail sportsbooks by the end of the second year of the next decade (2024). The group hopes to put the new platform through its paces during the 2023 football season.
