After seven months of contentious bargaining, Las Vegas hotel workers finally won some gains in job security, improved working conditions, and workplace safety in their first contracts since the outbreak.

Ted Pappageorge, senior contract negotiator for the Culinary Workers Union, stated early on in negotiations that the union's tens of thousands of members whose contracts had expired earlier this year were prepared to go on strike in order to ensure that hotel rooms were cleaned every day.
